We currently recruiting doctors for full and part time sessions available at our Smithfield and Draper Street Practices as well as pour new Practice at Palm Cove.
Recruitment of Medical Professionals of all persuasions is particularly difficult in Cairns, Smithfield and Northern Beaches area and General Practice is no exception. Owing to expansion at our Draper Street Practice and our new surgery soon to be opening at Palm Cove we have a number of positions available for full time or part time doctors.
Whilst our locations are not currently a District of WorkForce Shortage we have obtained DoWS for a number of doctors on a case by case basis and will support other applications for the right person.
We understand that a change to workplace is a serious decision and the need to 'fact find' before making a decision. With that in mind we guarantee complete discretion with regard to any enquiries.
We would like our doctors to:
- be patient centric not financially focused
- view computerisation as a tool rather than a hinderance
- be prepared to allow nursing staff autonomy where appropriate (pap smears, routine antenatal care etc)
- see worth in 'life style' medicine with a leaning towards the pro-active management of diabetes and other chronic conditions
- practice in a manner that is compatible with RACGP 3rd edition standards
