Reception personnel are the face of our surgery. The atmosphere created in the reception carries through the whole practice.
We believe that our reception staff should be able to:
- greet patients in a friendly and professional manner, even those who may appear unreasonable
- be able to use the computerised booking system (Genie) to it's full advantage
- be able to triage effectively
- be able to invoice patients accurately
- respond efficiently to requests from doctors and follow them through
- effectively liaise with other clinics, surgeries, pathology providers and other health professionals
- be prepared to attend courses for further career advancement
- work as part of a team committed to excellence in patient care
- treat fellow staff with respect and dignity
