Opening Hours
The surgery is open from 9am to 5pm weekdays. The surgery is not open on weekends or public holidays.

Home and other visits
Home visits are available for regular patients of this practice whose condition prevents them from attending the surgery. If you feel you need a home visit please contact surgery staff to discuss the issue.

After Hours
For after hours care that is not an emergency we have an agreement with Cairns 24 hr Medical centre. They are located on the corner of Grafton and Florence St and their telephone number is 4052 1119. Please identify yourself as a patient of this practice at the time you make you're appointment and also request a copy of the consultation notes by forwarded to us for any follow up.

Cairns 24 hr Medical will also provide after hours home visits to our for those patients unable to attend their surgery. There may be a charge for this service. For more information about Cairns 24 Hour Medical Centre check out their website.
Appointments
Appointments can be made by phoning the surgery on 4038 2777 or if you prefer you can use our online appointment request. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time and GP.

Emergencies will always be given priority and our reception staff will attempt to contact you if there is any unforeseen delay or your GP has been called away.

A standard consultation is design to accommodate a single or uncomplicated matter. Longer consultation times are available, so please let our receptionists know if you require some extra time.

If you or a family member, require and interpreter service, we can organise this for you.
Billing Arrangements
Fees are payable at the time of consultation by cash, cheque (by arrangement), Mastercard, Visa or EFTPOS. Our fees and charges are displayed at the surgery for the more common items. If you have any difficulties in paying our fees, please feel to discuss it with us.

Each of the GPs within our practice are at liberty to set their own policies as far as bulk billing is concerned. All our GPs will bulk bill children under 5 years of age and aged pensioners. Some of our GPs may also bulk bill Health Care Card holders. More information on billing policies for each GP is available from reception staff.
Telephone Access
GPs in our practice may be contacted by phone during normal surgery hours. If the GP is with a patient, a message will be taken and the reception staff will advise when it is likely that the GP will return your call. Your call will always be put through to the GP in an emergency.
Complaints
We hope there are few complaints however if you have any concerns we would like to hear about it. Please feel free to talk to your doctor the practice manager or receptionist about the issue. You may prefer to write to us or use our suggestion box. Be assured that we take your concerns seriously and shall do our best to address any concerns you may have.

Reminder System
Our practice is committed to preventative care. We may issue you with a reminder notice from time to time offering preventative health services appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to be part o this system please let your doctor or reception know.

In addition our practice provides email or SMS reminders of upcoming appointments approximately 1 day prior to the appointment. Please advise reception if you do not wish to receive these reminders.
